The Sprechen relationship with Indonesia continues to flourish on this latest release, which comes hurtling through the laser grid cosmos from the studio of Jakarta, based tunesmith Baypoet. Could this be one of our fave ever releases yet? It's a defo contender!
Title track Translink leads the charge and thunders out of the blocks at warp speed with a high five to the great Norwegian disco bods with a throbbing bass and spaced out hits entwining around a filtered piano line. The build is intense and the piano pay off does not disappoint at all.
BIG time endorphin destructor.I love the smell of serotonin in the morning!
Outer continues on the Norway-esque express and rockets its way to the mid tempo/peak time part of the night. Reminiscent of a John Carpenter film score with a touch of Red Laser Disco complete with a driving piano line pack this with enough oomph & whallop to keep your bowels rumbling even in the taxi ride home.
Nick Warren: "Translink is a beast of a track"
Alice Palace: "Ooooof... both killer!"
Marco Giannini (Sticky Heat): "Big fan of Translink. Has strong end of the night vibes."
Black Hawks Of Panama: "Loving Baypoet's 'drop your shopping' monster piano complemented smooth synths. Just what i'm looking for end of night tackle wise.. Good work!"
